Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Sanatan Sagar mobile application and related websites at sanatansagar.co.in (the "Service"), operated by P2P Labs ("we", "us", or "our").

By downloading, installing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Sanatan Sagar provides a collection of Hindi Chalisas, Aartis, and related devotional reading features for personal spiritual use. Features may include browsing content, a distraction-free reader, adjustable text size, favorites, offline caching, and reporting content errors.

2. Licence to use

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and use Sanatan Sagar on devices you own or control for your personal, non-commercial devotional use.

You may not:

• Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the app software
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except where permitted by law
• Rent, lease, sell, redistribute, or sublicense the Service
• Use the Service for commercial republishing of our curated content without prior written permission
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, servers, or networks connected to the Service

3. Devotional content

Texts are provided for spiritual reading and personal devotion. While we strive for accuracy, transcriptions may contain errors. You are invited to report mistakes using the in-app error reporting feature so we can improve the catalog.

Content in the Service may be curated, edited, or formatted by us. Unless otherwise stated, the selection, arrangement, presentation, and software that deliver the content are protected by intellectual property laws. Traditional religious texts themselves may be in the public domain or otherwise freely usable; that does not grant you rights to our app, branding, design, or curated packaging.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Submit error reports or emails that contain unlawful, abusive, or harmful content
• Attempt to probe, scrape, or overload our backends beyond normal app use
• Misrepresent your identity when contacting support in a way that harms others
• Use the Service in violation of applicable law

5. Free service and future paid features

Sanatan Sagar is currently offered free of charge on Google Play. We may in the future introduce optional paid features, subscriptions (such as a "Premium" tier), audio playback, downloads, or other enhancements. If we do:

• Pricing, billing, and cancellation terms will be disclosed in the app and/or store listing before you purchase
• Purchases through Google Play are also subject to Google's terms and refund policies
• We may change free and paid feature sets over time; material changes will be communicated reasonably in advance where practicable

These Terms apply to both free and paid use of the Service unless a separate subscription agreement states otherwise.

6. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party platforms such as Google Play and Google Firebase. Your use of those platforms is also governed by their respective terms. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.

7. Privacy

Our collection and use of information is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you also acknowledge that policy.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that content will always be complete or accurate.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, P2P Labs and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) INR 1,000.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless P2P Labs from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms.

11. Changes to the Service and Terms

We may modify or discontinue features of the Service at any time. We may also update these Terms. The "Last updated" date will change when we do. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the app. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or the Service, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.
