Privacy Policy

Last updated: 26 July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how P2P Labs ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Sanatan Sagar mobile application and related websites at sanatansagar.co.in (together, the "Service").

By using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. For questions, contact contact@sanatansagar.co.in.

1. Who we are

The Service is operated by P2P Labs. Sanatan Sagar is distributed on Google Play under the package identifier com.p2plabs.sanatansagar.

2. No accounts or login

Sanatan Sagar does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide a personal profile. We do not ask for your name, phone number, or postal address to use the core reading features.

3. Information we collect

3.1 Analytics events

We use Firebase Analytics (Google) to understand how the app is used so we can improve it. Events may include:

  • screen_visit — which screen was opened
  • cta_clicked — which button or action was tapped
  • content_opened — which content item was opened, with a content ID

These events use technical identifiers managed by Firebase. We do not intentionally attach your name or email to analytics events.

3.2 Crash and error diagnostics

We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports and diagnostic information when the app fails unexpectedly. This helps us find and fix bugs. Reports may include device model, OS version, app version, and stack traces.

3.3 Push notifications

We use Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to deliver push notifications. A device push token may be generated on your device so messages can be delivered. You can control notification permissions in your device settings.

3.4 Content sync and configuration

The app uses Cloud Firestore and Firebase Remote Config to sync devotional content and app configuration (such as links shown in Settings). Content is cached locally on your device for offline reading.

3.5 Content error reports (user-submitted)

If you choose to report a problem with a text (for example a wrong word, meaning, or punctuation), the app may send:

  • Free-text description (up to about 1,000 characters)
  • Content ID and title
  • Problem type you selected

These reports are stored in our Firestore content_error collection so we can review and correct content. This is the primary user-supplied information that leaves your device. Please do not include sensitive personal data in error reports.

3.6 Data that stays on your device

Preferences and local state are stored on your device (for example via Android DataStore) and are not uploaded by us as part of normal operation. This includes favorites, font scale, last selected category, language preference, theme preference, and sync timestamps.

4. Permissions

The Android app requests only:

  • INTERNET — to sync content and use Firebase services
  • ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — to detect connectivity for sync and offline behavior

We do not request access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone, or device storage for media libraries.

5. How we use information

We use the information described above to:

  • Provide and improve the Service
  • Sync and display devotional content
  • Diagnose crashes and reliability issues
  • Understand feature usage at an aggregate level
  • Send optional push notifications
  • Review and correct reported content errors
  • Respond to support requests you send us by email

6. Third-party processors

We rely on Google Firebase services (Analytics, Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging, Firestore, Remote Config) as processors. Google may process data according to its own terms and privacy policies. We encourage you to review Google's documentation for Firebase and Google Play services.

7. Data retention

Analytics and crash data are retained according to Firebase retention settings and our operational needs. Content error reports are kept until we have reviewed them and for a reasonable period afterward for quality history. Support emails are retained as needed to respond to you.

8. Children

Sanatan Sagar is a general-audience spiritual reading app. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for the purpose of marketing. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us (for example in an error report or support email), contact contact@sanatansagar.co.in and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

9. Your choices and rights

Depending on applicable law (including Indian law), you may:

  • Disable or limit notifications in device settings
  • Clear app data / uninstall the app to remove local preferences
  • Contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information you have sent us (such as support emails or error reports that identify you)

Email contact@sanatansagar.co.in with your request. We may need enough detail to locate the relevant records.

10. Security

We use industry-standard providers and transport security (HTTPS) for network communication. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we work to protect information but cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. International processing

Firebase and related Google infrastructure may process data in data centers outside India. By using the Service you understand that such processing may occur as needed to provide the Service.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.

13. Governing law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
